I'm 6'1" 280 lbs I bought 3xl the coat is amazing . perhaps the best coat I have ever bought. I have however removed the hood as it was extremely large. I'm a big guy and I could fit 2 heads inside the hood. I don't mind though I'll find another way of covering my head and ears.I am completely satisfied with the craftsmanship of the coat itself,I've been in drycleaning for 31 years and this is very well made . I recommend the coat but lose the hood after buying :(

Really like this jacket especially considering the price.It is warm - Got it last week, just in time for -5 below wind chill NY weather. With only a light cotton shirt under it, I was surprisingly comfortable for a time. Layering up with a fleece underneath and was good for the day, which only got to a high of about 20.Regarding layering up - I got a large at first, based on the sizing measurements on the product page. While it did fit, there was no room for anything but a shirt underneath. Also found the armpit area a bit snug. Returned that for an XL, which is not excessively loose, but does allow a fleece or something underneath, so, perfect for me (6'1", 188lbs).As others have mentioned - the hood is quite big. If you believe two heads are better than one, you can fit them both in this hood. Drawstrings can snug it down OK though.Can't speak to longevity, only been a week - we'll see...Edit 1/29/22 - Just wore this jacket out in bomb cyclone Kenan here in NY. Minus 3 to minus 5 wind chill. Had a thin thermal shirt under a light fleece, and this jacket on top... for two hours of snowblowing. Excellent! Warm, waterproof, comfortable.

I initially purchased a 2XL and exchanged it for a 3XL (I am 6’4”, 215 lb.). This is a wonderful jacket! It is roomy enough for a heavy sweater underneath. With my gloves in my outer pockets and my cap in an inner pocket I am ready for anything, especially if I put on boots and long johns/snow pants. I use it regularly to take the dog out in Connecticut and have the hat and gloves right with me if I get uncomfortable. The hood works great. I find it helpful to wear a cap underneath it so that I can have a wider view and be more aware of my surroundings, I am 71 years-old and have lived it the NE all my life; have even gotten frostbite.. GREAT JACKET!!!

This is from China. It comes in a plastic bag much like bedding does. A 12"X 5" x 12" bag. When I saw how small the bag was I thought "How heavy duty can this be?" It isn't, not to mention the horrendous wrinkles you'll have when you finally wrestle it out of it's bag. The coat itself looks O.K. There are odd things about it. The smell is one. There is also some type of wierd liner in the coat and the liner likes to extend past the sleeves of the coat itself and I find that irritating. I have to keep tucking it back in. There are no inner pockets at all and the two pockets o the outside of the coat are shallow. You will lose things out of these pockets. The coat itself does not seem heavy at all so I'm thinking it will not be all that warm when I need it to be. The coat fit fine in the shoulders and arms but it is shorter than a winter coat should be. I am 6'2" and it doesn't cover my crotch which will make this not pleasant for shoveling snow. I have never had such a short winter coat. I should have just gone to WalMart and looked at coats there. The last cheap winter coat I bought there lasted 12 years and was wonderful. This one. Not so much. I would return this but can't get it back in it's bag. You're pretty much done when you get it out so beware. Not at all a great coat.

I bought this because in PA we have really cold winters with really cold wind. We hike a lot on the mountain and my coat I wear now is warm but not waterproof nor does it have the many pockets this jacket here has. I chose the orange because we want to be seen on the trails. This is TOTALLY windproof. On a hike the wind was really strong and cold but I never felt a thing because this jacket really did block the wind. I love this jacket so much I bought a second one for my partner because she is always cold. I don't like the hood because it is sooooo big but it can zipped off easily. The elastic inside waist band that snaps around your waist to keep snow out in case you wear it skiing or snowboarding. I would TOTALLY recommend this jacket if you get cold easily.I am 5'6" @ 130 lbs and I wear the mens medium. It fits perfect with some room for movement.
